Chapter 60 is the sixtieth chapter of the Natsume's Book of Friends manga series.

Plot

Natsume sits in a cinema with Nyanko-sensei watching a detective film starring Natori Shuuichi. He notes how distracting the film is when you know one of the actors, and sees Natori's gecko birthmark ayakashi crawl down his neck.

After the film, they walk outside to see that it is raining. Just as Natsume and Nyanko-sensei are about to attempt to dash to the train station, Natsume thinks he sees someone familiar cross the road. He then notices a paper doll at his feet, recognising it to be Natori Shuuichi's. The ink has run because of the rain, dissolving the spell placed on it, and leaving the writing partially smudged. The only readable words are "Ousenzuka, 14:00" and Natsume, indecisive on whether the doll was for him or not, decides to go to the address. Before they leave, Natsume suddenly senses a presence, and the reader sees two legs cloaked with rags walking behind him. When he turns around, however, the figure has vanished.

Walking through the rain, Natsume and Sensei arrive at Ousenzuka, which appears to be a quiet and wealthy residential area.

Soaking wet, he runs into a young woman with an umbrella, who takes him and Sensei to her house to dry off and take one of her disposable umbrellas for when he makes his way home. A housekeeper greets them at the door, and shoots a disapproving look at Natsume.
